The First Few Days/Weeks

Aiden got to meet a lot of family right from the beginning...

Nonni, Papa Bill and Papa Mike were all at the hospital when Aiden was born. Everyone got lots of snuggles in!

We even got to FaceTime with Auntie Tori and Auntie Melissa, Grady and Kendall. (We later got to FaceTime with Gigi and Great Grandpa...their first FaceTime experience on their own iPhone!)

Aiden's Great Aunt Lori even made the trek up to meet him before heading back to Alaska. A quick trip, but I know it meant a lot to meet him before she'd be back at Christmas.

Grandma made it back from her trip to Europe and hurried up on Friday to meet her newest grandson.

Holly and Luna aren't quite sure what to think about their new little "brother." Holly is very motherly and comes to check on him every time he cries. Luna gives us a look of "make him stop." They are not very fond of their sleep being disrupted, but neither are we! But they love to shower him with lots of kisses. I know they will have lots of fun together when he gets older.

We are adjusting to being at home and not getting any sleep. We are developing quicker reflexes during diaper changes to shield ourselves from the pee spray gun! And we have quickly learned that not all diapers are created equal. After several pee leaks and a blowout on Mommy, Pampers wins hands-down over Huggies! Thank goodness we have extra hands around here to cook, clean, do laundry, change diapers, let me shower, etc. Thanks Mom and Becky!

Aiden had his first doctor's appointment on 5/23...his weight is back up to 8 pounds, 2 ounces after dropping down to 7 pounds, 12 ounces when we were discharged from the hospital. The doctor says all is well and things are looking good!

We are so in love with this sweet little boy. Can't wait for the rest of you to all meet him!
