Thanksgiving

We had a FULL house for Aiden's first Thanksgiving! We had Grandma and Papa Mike, Great Aunt Susie and Uncle Tom, and the Mitas Family Fab 5! Everywhere you turned, there were people. Crowded and crazy at times, but worth every moment! We loved having everyone here to share in this special holiday. We hung out, did arts and crafts, played games, enjoyed the beautiful weather, and of course, played with Aiden!

And with all these people around to help out, I hardly had to cook! Bonus!!! Bobby (and Betty) made these delicious pies...yummmmmm!!!

And of course we had to put Aiden in the turkey costume! Following in his cousins footsteps! Thanks, Stephens Family for the hand-me-down!

6 Months

Guess who is 6 months old?!

He has mastered rolling onto his tummy (but not onto his back), sits pretty well unsupported, is starting to enjoy reading books, has a giggle and smile that melt our hearts, and he makes every day a little bit brighter!

Here are his 6 months stats:

Weight: 19 pounds, 11 ounces (82nd percentile)
Height: 29 inches (99th percentile)
Head circumference: 17.17 inches (51st percentile)

His doctor said everything looks great and gave us the green light for starting solids. He also said to get ready, because he is primed for crawling! He is growing like a weed and is already wearing size 4 diapers...slow down, Bubba!

Aiden also thinks he can stand, and loves to "stand" on our laps and bounce around. Here is his current version of dancing while...

Aiden's First Halloween

For Aiden's first Halloween, my mom took him took him to visit us at our offices. Jeff's work was dressed up like Harry Potter. Aiden wasn't too sure about what to think of Daddy's costume.

My office, having recently switched over to electronic medical records, were dressed up as computer nerds. He came and had fun playing with us during our potluck lunch.

Aiden's second costume was a cute little monkey suit, complete with stuffed banana! He didn't mind being all bundled up because of course the first rain of the year would land on Halloween! And boy, did it rain! It was time for bed around when all the kids were braving the storm, and fortunately he didn't wake up to the doorbell ringing over and over again.

And Grandma and Papa Mike came to visit for his first Halloween, and Daddy's birthday!

5 Months

My, oh my how time flies! Aiden is already 5 months old!

He is still obsessed with his feet, rolls over onto his tummy only in the middle of the night in his crib, is working on sitting up unsupported, and giggles and smiles up a storm!

We took Aiden on his first (ours too) trip to the Cambria Scarecrow Festival. The local businesses build "scarecrows" (more like giant manequin/models/paper mache people) that are all over the town. We met up with family friends (The Jones Family) who were out in CA to meet up with their kids. It was a fun get-away, with great weather, and a first for all of us!

We took Aiden and my parents to another Cal Poly soccer game. This time, the women's team was playing UCSB. And naturally we won! Go Mustangs!
